My interest in computer engineering started in highschool when I took my first computer science class. I learned about basic computer hardware and software and my curiosity began to grow. I also learned basic elements of developing websites and made my first website.
I graduated highschool in 2020 and I had the opportunity to talk to a BYU computer engineering alumni. I told him I was thinking about studying computer science and he recommended I look into computer engineering to have a more hands on aspect combined with coding.
I was accepted into BYU Provo and deferred so I could be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chihuahua, Mexico. I was a full-time missionary from 2020-2022. I started my studies the fall of 2022.
Since beginning my studies, I have been able to increase my understanding of different coding languages such as C/C++ and Python. I have also learned about robotics and elements of electrical engineering, as shown in the images above.
Now I am looking to find experience in the industry before I graduate with my B.S. in Computer Engineering in May of 2026.
